Careers Advice The college provides career
advice service for all students and potential students. Be you not sure of what career path
to follow, there are specialists to give you the correct career guidance
advice. Visa Extension Students needing assistance with extension
of their leave to remain as full-time overseas students could do so through
the Admissions Officer. Extra help with English (Free of Charge) Registered
full-time students of the college who needs improvement with their communication
skills could attend extra English classes free of charge.
Evening Seminars There are so many courses that run in the
evenings, and some on weekends. Students enrolled on full-time courses
who have cause to attend such lectures could do so at special discount fees.
Library The college provides a library service open to all
our students. Student may borrow books recommended by their various examination
bodies. Students may also become members of very large Peckham public
library on Peckham High Street which is within a walking distance from the
college.
Computing Workshop The college has up to date computer facilities
and students studying in the college have opportunity to have
workshops on computing operations. Intensive practical classes to enhance
their computing knowledge.
Airport Meeting Overseas students arriving in the UK for
the first time may wish to be met by a College Representative at the airport.
Students wishing to be collected from the airport must inform the College
of the following at least four weeks before the arrival date:
Airline and the Flight Number Arrival Airport and the Date of Arrival From
the airport, students are taken to the College other than
on weekends when they are taken directly to their lodging.
A fee of £60.00 is charged for this service, which
must be paid in advance and is non-refundable.
Careers Advice Students are given advice on the choice of
courses and guidance in their future career.
Career guidance is provided by specialists in the field:
the Heads of Department and members of the Academic Control Unit.
Part-time Employment Full-time students are allowed to take
up part-time employment in the UK so long as they are
a) on a student visa,
b) have a clearance letter from the College, and
c) have obtained a part-time work permit from the Department of Employment.
The College assists students in obtaining appropriate clearance and advises them how to find part-time
jobs.
English Language Support - Free of Charge Students on full-time
courses whose English requires improvement, are encouraged to attend
Language classes free of charge. Photocopying Facilities Students may avail
themselves of photocopying facilities provided by the College at a nominal
charge. Books & Stationery The College provides students, where
applicable, with the recommended text-books and other relevant course materials.
The text-books and other course materials forming essential part of class
work must be brought to the class by students. Students are expected to buy their
own stationery. Home Office The College provides the necessary
documentation for visa extension only to the students whose fees are fully paid
up. Students paying fees by instalments will not be issued such documentation.
However the College may assist by handling their visa extension
application.
